Do you like Full City Café? It's a neat little restaurant, open for all meals, located at the corner of Oakland Drive and Center Street in Portage. They have agreed to show my paintings during the months of April, May and June, 2016. I'll have 15 to 18 paintings there and would love to have you stop by to see them.
This is my 2016 entry into the Dowagiac Up Front Art Walk, a part of the Dogwood Fie Arts Festival. “Theater of Dreams,” (22"x30") depicts a scene from one hundred years ago. In front of a Round Oak stove, two girls use their dolls to act out their favorite theater scenes. Above them hover the images of performers that appeared at the Beckwith Memorial Theatre: John Philip Sousa, Lillian Russell, William S. Hart, Otis Skinner, Robert Mantell, and others. It will be on display in one of the downtown Dowagiac Front Street store windows from May 6 to 15. Come see it! Maybe vote for it? I'd love to win the People's Choice Award some day.
